The 2016 session of the South Central Jurisdictional Conference is in the final stages of planning. The Host Committee of some twenty people, led by Rev. Evelyn Fisher, has met diligently over the past four years and made excellent plans to have the Conference run smoothly. They are eager to welcome Bishops, Delegates, Alternates and guests the week of July 11-16. The opening worship at 7:00 p.m. will be Wednesday evening, July 13, 2016.
The Conference will be held in the Hyatt Regency Hotel, located on the Arkansas River in downtown Wichita. Worship services on Wednesday evening, and the Consecration of three new bishops on Saturday will be at First United Methodist.
On Friday evening the Great Plains Conference will host an Area Night of special interest. A musical Concert featuring Mr. William McDowell will be presented at the Century Center II Center next to the Hyatt. The entire community of Wichita are being invited to attend.
