Lay Servant Ministries
Purpose: Further the kingdom of God by promoting Lay Servant Ministries in the area covered by the conferences of the South Central Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. This shall be accomplished by:
1. To advocate for and provide assistance in the equipping and empowering of laity for ministry
2. Meet periodically to network and review training materials/programs
3. Corroborate with the Association of Conference Directors of Lay Servant Ministries and Discipleship Ministries of the United Methodist Church.
4. Offer assistance/resources to Lay Servant Ministries programs within the SCJ
5. Serve as an information exchange regarding ministries advocated by LSM
6. To promote a spirit of cooperative ministry among clergy and LSM
